Port Washington was the lone survivor among four area teams when the WIAA boys’ soccer tournament opened with regional semifinal games Tuesday.

The Pirates defeated visiting Wisconsin Lutheran, 4-3, in a Division 2 match.

In Division 1 play, Grafton was eliminated by a 3-0 road loss to Wauwatosa West.

In Division 3, Cedar Grove-Belgium was edged by host Oostburg, 1-0, and Ozaukee fell to top-seeded Howards Grove, 14-0.

With its win, Port advances to a sectional title match at 6:30 p.m. Thursday against host Shorewood (13-2-7), a No. 1 regional seed. The Pirates (10-12) are seeded fourth.

The winner of Thursday’s game will face the winner of a regional final between Brown Deer and New Berlin Eisenhower in a sectional semifinal Oct. 21.

Sectional title games will be played Oct. 23.

Grafton finished the season with an 8-8-5 record.

Cedar Grove-Belgium went 7-12-2. Ozaukee was 1-21.
