Officials believe they’ve made a strong case for facility upgrades, but referendum decision also hinges on cost

   After more than a year of planning the most ambitious school improvement initiative in the history of the Port Washington-Saukville School District, officials will ask voters to answer the $49.5 million question during the Tuesday, April 7, election.

    Is that what taxpayers are willing to pay to create a “like-new” high school by rebuilding and renovating an antiquated facility and alleviate overcrowding by building an addition at Dunwiddie Elementary School?

    School officials say they believe they’ve made a compelling case for improvements.
