Sea ballads will be sung by noted East Coast folk singer Judy Cook on the lawn of the Port Washington Light Station, 311 Johnson St., beginning at 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 4. The free performance is being held to commemorate the 150th anniversary of the Light Station, a former lighthouse now operated as a museum by the Port Washington Historical Society. Port Washington Maritime Museum in the former Lueptow’s Furniture building at 211 N. Franklin St., Port, will be open from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturdays. The self-guided museum, operated by the Port Washington Historical Society, features displays reflecting the various aspects of Port’s history, such as fishing tugs, shipwrecks and the Wisconsin Chair Co. The Food Pantry

Health
Ozaukee County immunization clinics provides vaccinations against diphtheria, tetanus, pertussis, measles, rubella, mumps, polio, haemophilus, chickenpox and hepatitis B. Tuberculosis skin tests and the chickenpox vaccine are available at all sites except Mequon. The hepatitis B vaccine is given in three doses over the six-month period. The first two shots are given a month apart and the last one five months after the second shot.
There is a $7 charge for all children’s vaccines and tests, based on the ability to pay. The fee for adult vaccines varies, depending on the shot. A parent or guardian must accompany anyone younger than 18. Sponsored by the Ozaukee County Public Health Department.
Vaccines are by appointment only at the Ozaukee County Administration Center, 121 W. Main St., Port Washington; and the Mequon Safety Building, 11300 N. Buntrock Ave.
Blood pressure screenings are offered by the county public health department from noon to 2 p.m. the first Friday of each month at U.S. Bank, N61 W6312 Turner St., Cedarburg; and from 12:30 to 3 p.m. the fourth Wednesdays of the month at Walgreens Drug Store in Thiensville.
Blood pressure, diabetes and cholesterol screenings are offered by the county public health department by appointment from 2 to 4:30 p.m. the last Monday of each month. Wisconsin Cancer Care Line at 1-800-622-8922 is staffed by counselors from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. weekdays to provide accurate, confidential information about cancer. Port Light Station
This 1860-building at 311 Johnson St., Port Washington, originally served as a lighthouse and is now restored. A former generator room on the site is a museum that features a changing display of historic Port Washington artifacts.
Sea ballads will be sung by noted East Coast folk singer Judy Cook on the lawn of the Port Washington Light Station, 311 Johnson St., beginning at 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 4. The free performance is being held to commemorate the 150th anniversary of the Light Station. Donations to the Historical Society will be accepted.
The Light Station, which is maintained by the Port Washington Historical Society, is open from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturdays and noon to 4 p.m. Sundays, or by appointment. Group appointments are available by appointment. The Light Station closes for the season in October.

Luxembourg American Cultural Center
The Luxembourg American Cultural Center at 100 Peter Thein Ave., Belgium, includes the J.B. Krier Wellkomm Centre, the Roots and Leaves Museum and the LACS Research Center. The research center has an extensive collection of archival resources pertaining to genealogy and history for Luxembourg American families and communities throughout the United States and for families and communities in northern Ozaukee County, no matter the nationality.
The temporary exhibit “Moving Home,” which includes photos depicting pioneer homes and buildings built by Luxembourg immigrants, will be featured through Oct. 31.
The center is open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays, and from 1 to 4 p.m. on the first and third Saturdays of each month.
Admission to the center is $9 for adults and $5 for children 12 and younger. Members of the Luxembourg American Cultural Society and Port Washington Historical Society, as well as military personnel and their families, will be admitted free.

Harrington Beach State Park
The park on Highway D east of I-43 in the Town of Belgium is open daily. Admission is a Wisconsin State Park sticker. Daily stickers are $7 for Wisconsin residents and $10 for nonresidents.
An annual sticker is available to $25 for Wisconsin-licensed vehicles and $35 for out-of-state vehicles. An annual senior resident pass is $10. Park users with more than one vehicle may purchase additional stickers for half price. Admission stickers are available at the park. Pioneer Village
Ozaukee County museum has 24 buildings and display areas, as well as a gift shop, that date from 1840 to 1910. It is open from noon to 5 p.m. weekends from Memorial Day weekend through the second week in October. Costumed guides assist visitors. Craft demonstrations are held Sundays.
Admission is usually $6 for adults, $4 for seniors and students, $2 for children ages 5 to 11 and free for children younger than 5.
Revolutionary War re-enactment at Pioneer Village in the Town of Saukville will run from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 4 and 5. Battles will be staged at 11 a.m. and 4 p.m. Music, dance and games of the period will be presented, and living history experienced. Food and beverages will be available for purchase. Admission is $8 for adults, $6 for seniors and students, $3 for youngsters and free for children than 5.
