Port Washington High School will host an a cappella concert featuring Arora, a vocals and electronics band that appeared on the NBC television show “The Sing Off,” Port High’s Limited Edition and Redefined from the University of Wisconsin-Madison at 7 p.m. Saturday, April 5.

Tickets  for the concert, which is in the school auditorium, are $20 and can be purchased at the high school from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. weekdays and at the door.

Immediately following the concert, the Wisconsin Badgers basketball game will be shown on a big screen in the auditorium. The Badgers play the Kentucky Wildcats in the Final Four round of the NCAA tournament.

The concert  concludes an all-day Acapocalypse a cappella music festival that is expected to attract more than 300 high school students from throughout the state.

Arora (formerly SONOS) will work with students throughout the day, then perform for the public during the concert. The five-member Los Angeles-based group is known for its avant garde harmonies paired with deep soul.

Limited Edition, Port High’s 16-member vocal jazz ensemble, has also garnered national recognition. In February, the group won a regional semifinal round of the Varsity Vocal International Championship of High School A Cappella for the fourth time in five years and will compete for the national championship in New York City on April 25. The group won the national title in 2010.

Redefined is a 17-member a cappella group of UW-Madison students that performs throughout the Midwest and has recorded six studio albums.

Port Washington High School is at 427 W. Jackson St.
