Spring St. crash injures motorcyclist PDF Print E-mail

A Port Washington motorcyclist was taken to an area hospital for treatment after his motorcycle collided with a cement truck on Spring Street at Grand Avenue Aug. 28, according to police.

    The accident occurred around 11 a.m. when Gregory Williams, 65, who was driving his Harley-Davidson motorcycle south on Spring Street, slowed for a vehicle ahead of him, then drove around it, police said.

    Adam Foster, 29, of Hartford, who was driving a Schmitz Ready Mix cement truck north on Spring Street, was turning left and collided with Williams, according to police.

    Police said Williams was transported by ambulance for treatment.Daily-Press

    Both drivers were cited, Williams for not having a motorcycle license and Foster for failure to yield the right of way while making a left turn, according to police.
