    Private family services are planned.

    Memorials are suggested to the Food Pantry in Port Washington.

Former Fredonia resident Renata E. Schultz died Friday, Feb. 7, at Golden Living East, a nursing facility in Rochester, Minn. She was 85.

    A funeral service was held Monday, Feb. 10, at Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Rochester, Minn. The Rev. Steve Schauder officiated.

    Burial was at Oakwood Cemetery in Rochester.

    Memorials to Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Rochester are suggested.

    Ranfranz and Vine Funeral Homes  of Rochester handled arrangements.

Elizabeth C. Biever, 98, died Thursday, Feb. 6, at her Town of Port Washington home.

    A Mass of Christian burial was held Monday, Feb. 10, at Divine Savior Parish, Holy Cross Chapel. Fathers Guy Garath and Jim Ernster officiated.

    Burial was in Holy Cross Cemetery.

    Eernisse Funeral Home of Belgium handled arrangements.

Private memorial services were held for Grafton resident Susan B. Gaertig, who died Sunday, Feb. 9, of pancreatic cancer.

Gaertig, 62, was born June 20, 1951, in Milwaukee, the daughter of Gerald and Nancy Harrison.

Family members said Ms. Gaertig enjoyed traveling and spending time with her family.

She worked for the post office before retiring 11 years ago, her son Tom Gaertig said.

“She went on a 41-day cruise around the world last year, which was something she wanted to do for a long time,” her son said. “She was also able to go on a cruise with her daughter and niece in November. She loved spending time with her family.”

Ms. Gaertig is survived by her mother Nancy (William) Penterman of Grafton; daughter Lori (David) Warren of Milton; son Tom of Cedarburg; and grandchildren Savannah Sue Warren and Lauren and Brooke Gaertig.

Ms. Gaertig is further survived by her brothers Jeff (Sue) Harrison of Seattle, Robert (Tammy) Harrison of Fredonia and Gerry (JoAnne) Harrison of Oostburg.

She was preceded in death by her father Gerald Harrison.

Mueller Funeral Home handled the arrangements.

Former Grafton resident Darryl F.  Roffers died of a longtime illness Thursday, Feb. 6, at Sacred Heart Hospital in Eau Claire.

Mr. Roffers, 39, was born July 23, 1975, in Milwaukee, the son of Jerome and Sharron Roffers.


He lived in Grafton for 27 years before moving to Beaver Dam with his mother.


Family members said Mr. Roffers was an avid sports fan and his favorite team was the Boston Bruins.


“He loved the Brewers and Packers as well,” his mother Sharron said.


Mr. Roffers is survived by his mother Sharron of Beaver Dam; and daughter Ashlyn Alexis of Wisconsin Rapids.


He is further survived by his grandmother Sylvia Lifke; brothers Terry (Roxi) of Beaver Dam and Scott (Debra) of West Bend; and sister Sharryl (Steve) Dalsky of Eau Claire.


In addition to his father, Mr. Roffers was preceded in death by his grandfather Joseph Lifke.


Visitation will be from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 15, with a service to follow at Pilgrim United Church of Christ in Grafton.

A memorial service was held Sunday, Feb. 9, for Waubeka resident Paul D. Schweiger, who died of pneumonia Thursday, Feb. 6, at Aurora Medical Center in Grafton.

Mr. Schweiger, 58, was born in Milwaukee on March 8, 1955, the son of Donald and Josephine Scanlon Schweiger.

He graduated from Slinger High School in 1973 and worked as a maintenance supervisor at Charter Steel in Saukville for nearly 20 years.

He then started Riverside Machining.

He lived in Waubeka since 1995.

Family members said Mr. Schweiger enjoyed golfing, fishing and spending time with his friends and family.

“He was generous to a fault and was always there for others,” his daughter Jessi Schweiger said. “He could fill a room with laughter.”

Mr. Schweiger is survived by his daughter Jessi of Waubeka and grandchildren Hannah Schueller and Jack Simonson.

He is further survived by his siblings Mark (Karen) of Wautoma, Mary Corrigan of Winthrop Harbor, Ill., and Jane (Kevin) Stewart of Woodstock, Ill.

Mr. Schweiger was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, John.

Memorials to the Ozaukee County Humane Society are requested.

Eernisse Funeral Home, Port Washington, handled the arrangements.
