Longtime Cedarburg resident Virgil O. Olson, 79, died of cancer at Columbia St. Mary’s Hopsital in Milwaukee on Monday, Jan. 18.
A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 23, at First Immanuel Lutheran Church in Cedarburg.
The Rev. Jonathan van Sliedrecht will officiate.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at Eernisse Funeral Home, Port Washington. A military rite will be held at 1 p.m.
Burial will be Monday, Jan. 25, at Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Union Grove.
Memorials to First Immanuel Lutheran Church in Cedarburg are requested. |

A Mass of Christian burial was held Tuesday, Jan. 19, for former Random Lake resident Rose Marie “Mutz” Franzen, 78, who died Saturday, Jan. 16, at Aurora Sheboygan Memorial Hospital.
The funeral Mass was held at Our Lady of the Lakes, St. Mary Chapel, in Random Lake. Father Richard Cerpich officiated.
Burial was at the parish cemetery.
Memorials are requested to the church.
Arrangements were handled by Eernisse Funeral Home, Belgium.

Marion J. Matthews, who lived at 535 W. Jefferson St., Port Washington, died of pancreatic cancer Wednesday, Jan. 13, at Heritage Nursing Home in Port. She was 87.
A funeral service for Mrs. Matthews was held at First Congregational Church in Port Washington on Saturday, Jan. 16. The Rev. Jeff Suddendorf officiated.
Memorials are suggested.
Funeral arrangements were handled through Eernisse Funeral Home, Port Washington.

Port Washington resident Frances Ann Thunander, 75, died Saturday, Jan. 16, following a stroke.
A Mass of Resurrection was to be held at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 20, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Port Washington. Father Tom Lijewski was to officiate.
Visitation was to be at the church from 4 p.m. until the service.
Burial will be at Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Union Grove.
Memorials are requested to St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Port Washington, Port Catholic School or Father Gene’s HELP.

Longtime Port Washington alderman Peter J. Jushka died at his 413 Summit Dr. home in Port on Saturday, Jan. 16. He was 73.
A memorial Mass for Mr. Jushka will be held at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 21, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Port Washington. Father Tom Lijewski will officiate.
Visitation will be from 3 to 6:30 p.m. Thursday at the church.
Memorials to the Port Washington Historical Society or American Cancer Society are suggested.

Former Port Washington resident Rick A. Fedel, who lived in Pelican Lake in northern Wisconsin, died Friday, Jan. 1, at St. Mary’s Hospital in Rhinelander of injuries suffered in a snowmobile accident. He was 41.
A Mass of Christian burial for Mr. Fedel will be held at 7 p.m. Friday, Jan. 22, at St. Peter of Alcantara Catholic Church in Port Washington. Father Patrick Wendt will officiate.
Visitation will be at the church from 4 to 6:30 p.m. Friday.
Entombment will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Port Washington.
Memorials are suggested.
