Port Washington resident Louise E. Plevak died at her home at Anita’s Garden assisted-living facility in Port Washington on Wednesday, Dec. 19. She was 90.

Funeral services were to be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 26, at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Port Washington.
 
The Rev. John Klieve was to officiate.
 
Visitation was to be held at the church Wednesday from noon until the service.

Eernisse Funeral Home in Port Washington is handling arrangements.

Belgium resident Marilyn D. Bors, 76, died at Aurora Medical Center in Grafton on Thursday, Dec. 13.

    Mrs. Bors was born in Milwaukee on Oct. 6, 1936, to Edwin and Clara Liebnitz Schlicke.

    She married Carl Driebel on Oct. 22, 1955, inn Milwaukee.

    Mr. Driebel died in 1983.

    On April 4, 1992, she married James Bors at Welling Park Lutheran Church in Milwaukee.

    The couple moved to Belgium where they raised their family.

    Mrs. Bors worked as a receptionist at a bank and later at a doctor’s office in Cedarburg before retiring in 2007.

    Mrs. Bors was an active member of First Reformed Church in Cedar Grove.

    She enjoyed baking butterhorns and cookies, reading and doing a variety of needlepoint projects, including making dish towels for her grandchildren.

    “She was very fun, very energetic and she enjoyed being around people,” her daughter Nancy Niebauer said.

    Mrs. Bors is survived by her husband Jim of Belgium; children Michael (Sandy) Driebel of Saukville, Robert (Daun) Driebel of Juneau, Donald (Cindy) Driebel of Jackson, Nancy (Kevin) Niebauer of Belgium and James (Julie) Driebel of New Berlin; grandchildren Jon Driebel, Daniel Driebel, Nicole Driebel, Jennifer (Bret) Vukich, Danielle Driebel, Bryan Driebel, Matthew Driebel, Emily Driebel, Sara Driebel, Natalie Driebel, David Niebauer, Amanda Niebauer, Allison Niebauer, and step-grandchildren Alissa (Eric) Novak and Robert Christenson.

    She is further survived by her brother Donald (Edith) Schlicke of Marble Falls, Texas.

    In addition to her first husband Carl Driebel, Mrs. Bors was preceded in death by her parents Edwin and Clara Schlicke and her brother Richard Schlicke.

    A funeral was held Monday, Dec. 17, at First Reformed Church in Cedar Grove.

    Interment will be at Pinelawn Memorial Park in Milwaukee.

    Memorials to a charity of choice are suggested.

    Eernisse Funeral Home in Belgium handled arrangements.

Peter F. Cooper, who was known as Peter the Clown, died Tuesday, Dec. 11, at Belgium Gardens, where he lived. He was 83.

    A memorial service will be held at a later date in Muskegon, Mich.

    Eernisse Funeral Home of Belgium is handling arrangements.

Marvelle H. Eernisse of Grafton died Friday, Dec. 14, at her Grafton home. She was 89.

    A Mass of Christian burial was held for Mrs. Eernisse Monday, Dec. 17, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Grafton. Father Mike Barrett officiated.

    Interment was in the parish cemetery.

    Funeral arrangements were handled by Eernisse Funeral Home, Cedarburg.

Harold Reynolds, who portrayed St. Nicholas for 18 years in downtown Port Washington, died Tuesday, Dec. 11, at Harbor Club in Port Washington, where he lived. He was 85.

    A memorial service will be held at 4 p.m. Friday, Dec. 21, at Eernisse Funeral Home in Port Washington. The Rev. Julian Hills will officiate.

    Visitation will be Friday from 2 p.m. until the service.

    Interment will be in Forest Home Cemetery in Milwaukee.

    Memorials are suggested to St. Simon the Fisherman Episcopal Church in Port Washington or Riveredge Nature Center in the Town of Saukville.

Longtime Fredonia resident Judith Ann Schowalter died from ovarian cancer at her home on Sunday, Dec. 16. She was 52.

    No funeral services will be held.

    Memorials are requested to the American Cancer Society or the Pineview Wildlife Center in Fredonia.
