A Mass of Christian burial was held Monday, May 10, for Rita M. Lauters, 85, of Port Washington, who died Thursday, May 6, at Cedar Springs Health and Rehabilitation Center in Cedarburg.
Father Thomas Lijewski celebrated the Mass at St. Peter of Alcantara Catholic Church in Port Washington.
Interment was at Southwestern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Union Grove.
Memorials to St. Mary’s Catholic Parish in Port Washington or Brother Booker’s House of Peace in Milwaukee are suggested.

Grafton resident Hazel Hahn, 92, died Monday, May 10, at Ellen’s Home in Port Washington.
A Mass of Christian burial will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday, May 14, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Saukville.
Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. Thursday, May 13, at Mueller Funeral Home, Grafton.
Interment will be at St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery in Saukville.
Memorials to the church are or a charity of the donor’s choice are requested. |

Charles A. Schaefer of Port Washington died Saturday, May 8, at Belgium Gardens in Belgium. He was 91.
Mr. Schaefer died of complications of old age, his daughter Megan said.
A Mass of Christian burial for Mr. Schaefer will be held at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, May 15, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Port Washington. Father Tom Lijewski will officiate.
Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday, May 14, at Eernisse Funeral Home in Port Washington and at the church on Saturday from 11 a.m. until the service.
Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Port Washington.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Stars and Stripes Honor Flight are suggested. |

A funeral service will be held Friday, May 14, for Cedar Grove resident Nelda Eernisse.
Mrs. Eernisse died Tuesday, May 11, at her home at 505 W. Center Ave. She was 84.
The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Friday at First Reformed Church in Cedar Grove. The Rev. Kent Vant Hul will officiate.
Visitation will be from 3 to 7 p.m. Thursday, May 13, at Wenig Funeral Home in Oostburg and at the church Friday from 10 a.m. until the service.
Burial will be in Cedar Grove Cemetery.
A memorial fund for First Reformed Church has been established in Mrs. Eernisse’s name.

Heidi A. DuCharme died Saturday, May 8, near her West Bend home. She was 38.
A memorial service for Ms. DuCharme will be held at 7 p.m. Monday, May 17, at Eernisse Funeral Home in Port Washington. The Rev. Mark Wagner of Our Savior Lutheran Church in Grafton will officiate.
Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, contributions to a memorial fund established for the education of Ms. DuCharme’s daughters are suggested.

Grafton High School senior Matthew Malkowski, an athlete who planned to become a firefighter, died at his Grafton home Friday, April 30.
Mr. Malkowski, 18, died of injuries resulting from a car accident on March 12 in the Town of Cedarburg.
A Mass of Christian burial for Mr. Malkowski will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday, May 6, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Grafton. Father Mike Barrett will officiate.
Visitation will be at the church Thursday from 3 p.m. until the service.
Memorials to a charity of the donor’s choice are suggested.
Funeral arrangements are being handled through Mueller Funeral Home, Grafton. |
