Former Port Washington resident Marvin E. Paulin, 87, died of heart failure Tuesday, Oct. 16, at his home in Mesa, Ariz.

A private memorial service was held in Arizona.

Edwin Kreif, 74, of Waubeka died Thursday, Oct. 18, from complications of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease at Aurora Medical Center in Grafton.

    A funeral service was held Monday, Oct. 22, at Open Door Bible Church in Port Washington. The Rev. Jim Engleman officiated.

    Memorials to the American Lung Association are suggested.

    Poole Funeral Home of Port Washington handled arrangements.

Retired English and literature teacher James A. Smithers, 73, died Saturday, Oct. 20, at St. Nicholas Hospital in Sheboygan. He lived in Sheboygan.

    A Mass of Christian burial was held Tuesday, Oct. 23, at Our Lady of the Lakes Parish, St. Nicholas Chapel in Dacada. Father Richard Cerpich officiated.

    Inurnment was in St. Nicholas Cemetery in Dacada.

    Eernisse Funeral Home of Port Washington handled arrangements.

Memorial services will be held Friday, Oct. 19, for former Ozaukee County resident Dale E. Carriveau, 66, of Waukesha, who died of a massive heart attack Sunday, Oct. 14, at Aurora Medical Center, after spending the day with family and childhood friends.

A memorial visitation will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, Oct. 19, at Cesarz, Charapata & Zinnecker Funeral Home, Waukesha.

A military honors service will be held at 2:30 p.m.

Memorials to the family are requested.

Memorial services will be held Thursday, Oct. 18, for 3-month-old Kenzie Marie Bauer of Saukville who died Friday, Oct. 12.

Kenzie was born July 6, the daughter of Eric and Michelle White Bauer.

Visitation will be from 4 p.m. at Schramka-Densow Funeral Home, Thiensville.

The Rev. Franz Rigert of Pilgrim United Chruch of Christ in Grafton will lead a prayer service at the funeral home at 7 p.m.

    Former Port Washington resident Mary T. Diedrich died of complications of Alzhemier’s disease at her home in Virginia Beach, Va. on Sunday, Sept. 30. She was 82.

    A funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Norfolk, Va. Friday, Nov. 23, and at 11 a.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Port Washington on Saturday, June 22, 2013. A reception will follow both services.

    Donations to the Alzheimer’s Association, Southeastern VA Chapter, 6350 Center Drive, Suit 102, Norfolk, Va. 23502 are suggested.

    Eernisse Funeral Home of Port Washington is assisting with arrangements.
