Maxine M. Bartelt died Saturday, June 23, at the Harbor Club in Port Washington, where she lived since April 2009. She formerly lived on Nelson Drive in Port Washington.

    A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 6 p.m. Thursday, June 28, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Port Washington. Father Thomas Lijewski will officiate.

    Visitation will be at the church Thursday from 4:30 p.m. until the Mass, with a rosary at 4:30 p.m.

    Memorials to St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Port Washington, are suggested.

    Poole Funeral Home is handling arrangements.

Port Washington resident James B. Day died of complications from chronic obstructive pulmonary disease Friday, June 22, at Columbia St. Mary’s Ozaukee Hospital. He was 79.

A memorial service will be held at 6 p.m. Thursday, June 28, at Harbor Village in Port Washington.

Burial will take place at David’s Cemetery in Dayton, Ohio in July.

Donations can be made to the Ozaukee County Humane Society in Mr. Day’s name.

A funeral service was held Wednesday, July 27, for Shirley A. Foth of the Town of Fredonia, who died of cancer Saturday, June 23, at Gables On the Pond in Random Lake.

    Mrs. Foth, 66, was known to many as Flutter the Clown, who appeared in Random Lake parades in the mid-1990s.


    The Rev. Ben Snodgrass officiated the service at Eernisse Funeral Home in Port Washington.

    Burial was to be in Union Cemetery in Random Lake.

Alma I. Maechtle, a longtime school secretary and former Port Washington-Saukville School Board member, died Monday, June 18, at Ellen’s Home in Port Washington. She was 92.

    A memorial service for Mrs. Maechtle will be held Saturday, June 30, at Grand Avenue United Methodist Church in Port Washington. The Rev. David Guse will officiate.

    Visitation will be at the church Saturday from 10 a.m. until the service.

    Inurnment will be in Union Cemetery, Port Washington.

    Funeral arrangements are being handled through Eernisse Funeral Home, Port Washington.

Gary J. Mueller, 54, who was a fost parent for more than 100 children, died of cancer Monday, June 25, at Aurora Medical Center in Grafton. He lived on West Grand Avenue in Port Washington.

    A funeral service will be held at 6:30 p.m. Monday, July 2, at Friedens Evangelical Church in Port Washington. The Rev. Brandon Lemons will officiate.

    The family will receive visitors after the service.

    Memorials to the Port Washington Youth Baseball/Softball Association or Port Washington High School Music Booster Piano Fund are suggested.

    Poole Funeral Home of Port Washington is handling arrangements.

Grafton resident Joan R. Stearn, 72, died from cancer at her home Thursday, June 21.

A memorial service will be held at 6 p.m. on Thursday, June 28, at Eernisee Funeral Home in Port Washington.

A visitation will be held from 4 p.m. until the time of the service.

A burial will take place at Valhalla Memorial Park in Milwaukee.
