Former Cedar Grove resident Betty J. DeRoo died at the Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice in Sheboygan Falls on Sunday, July 25, of complication of a stroke. She was 66. A funeral service for Mrs. DeRoo will be held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, July 29, at First Christian Reformed Church in Oostburg. The Rev. Les Kuiper will officiate. A family service will be held at 1:15 p.m. in the church’s fellowship hall. Visitation was to be from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, July 28, at Wenig Funeral Home in Oostburg and at the church Thursday from noon until the service. Burial will be in Hartman Cemetery in the Town of Wilson. A memorial fund for the Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice Center has been established in Mrs. DeRoo’s name.
