Richard R. Waski of Random Lake found peace in the Lord’s kingdom on Thursday, Oct. 26, 2017.  
He was born in Chicago on Aug. 31, 1948, to Richard and Renatta (nee Depcik) Waski.  
Richard graduated from De LaSalle High School in Chicago in 1966. He received his bachelor’s degree in education from Lewis University in Joliet, Ill., and went on to receive his master’s degree in education from Cardinal Stritch University in Whitefish Bay. Richard dedicated 35 years to teaching special education students in Wisconsin.  
He was an outdoorsman and his hobbies included deer hunting, woodworking and an appreciation for the arts. Richard treasured his time with his family. He was a devout Catholic and was a member of St. Michael Catholic Church in Kewaskum.
Richard is survived by the mother of his children, Sharon Waski; children Kristyn (Andrew) Aalto of Coeur d’ Alene, Idaho, Richard (Andrea) Waski of Monroe, Rachel (Marc) LeDoux of Lafayette, La., and Elizabeth (Brian) Zettler of Random Lake; grandchildren Jonathan and Ariana Aalto, Clayton and Morgan Waski and Audrey and Evangeline LeDoux; sister Gail (Michael) Hogan; niece Sarah Hogan; and nephews Aaron Hogan, Jacob Hogan and Adam (Jessica) Hogan.
He was preceded in death by his parents and aunt and uncle Marcella and Bernard Fordon.
A memorial service was held Tuesday, Oct. 31, 2017, at Basilica and National Shrine of Mary Help of Christians at Holy Hill in the Basilica Church in Hubertus, with Father Edwin Kornath presiding.  
In lieu of flowers, memorials appreciated to St. Michael Catholic Church of Kewaskum and Northern Ozaukee Schools Scholarship Foundation.
