George C. Pfeifer, age 92, of Sheboygan passed away peacefully on Sunday evening, Oct. 8, 2017, at Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice in Sheboygan Falls.
He was born in Glenbeulah on May 26, 1925, son of George and Dorthea (Bartell) Pfeifer.
He attended schools in Glenbeulah and graduated from Glenbeulah High School in 1943.
George served in the U.S. Air Force from Sept. 27 to Dec. 24, 1943.
On May 15, 1952, he married Helen Nelson at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Plymouth. The couple celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary this year.
He worked at Bolen Manufacturing Co. in Port Washington for 31 years, retiring in 1991.
George was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in the Town of Wilson.
He enjoyed sports, reading and watching TV.
He is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Helen; four sons, George (Tammay) Pfeifer of Belgium, Gordon (Cindy) Pfeifer of Sheboygan, Steven Pfeifer of Washington and Robert (Rochelle) Pfeifer of Sheboygan; 16 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson.
He is also survived by nieces, nephews, many other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his  parents, two sisters, three brothers, five sisters-in-law and four brothers-in-law.
Memorial services will be held at 7 p.m. Friday, Oct. 13, 2017, at Suchon Funeral Home in Plymouth. The Rev. Shane Cota, pastor of Trinity Lutheran Church in the Town of Wilson, will officiate.  
Inurnment will be in Greenbush Cemetery.
Friends may call at the Suchon Funeral Home on Friday, Oct. 13, from 4 p.m. until the service.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established in George’s name for the Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice.
Suchon Funeral Home and Cremation Services of Plymouth is assisting the family.
