Lucille Brunner of Fredonia enjoyed rummage sales, gardening and sharing her produce with family and friends.
“She liked to grow vegetables, especially kohlrabi, tomatoes and cucumbers,” her son Jerome Brunner said.
Mrs. Brunner, 83, died Thursday, April 6, at The Woodland View Assisted Living Facility of Fredonia.
She was born in Washington County on Feb. 20, 1934 to Joseph and Louise Reitmeier Goeppert.
Lucille married Vincent “Shorty” Brunner on April 26, 1952 and settled in Fredonia to raise their family.
Mrs. Brunner is survived by her children Virginia (Mike) Lamb of New Castle, PA. Jerome “Mouse” (Nancy) of Random Lake, Ray (Cheri) of Porterfield and daughter-in-law Bev Brunner of Cedar Grove.
She is further survived by her grandchildren Erica Neubauer, Ed Kreis Jr., Elizabeth Canada, Sheila (Andy) Heinen, Mike (Angie), Mike (Rachel) Bruni, Katie (Ryan) Tiefenthaler, Kyle (Tracy), Curtis (Tiffany), Cory, 12 great grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren, sister Mary Rady and brother Tom Goeppert.
Mrs. Brunner is preceded in death by her parents, husband Vincent, son James “Bruno”, granddaughter Tina Marie, brothers Joe and Bob Goeppert and sister Marcella Hembel.
A funeral service will be at 5 p.m. on Thursday, April 20, at Vineyard Community Church with Pastor Pat Mulcahy presiding. Visitation will be at the church on Thursday from 3:00 pm until time of service.
The Phillip Funeral Home of West Bend is handling the arrangements.
