Longtime Port Washington resident Gertrude Hurst, 87, who lived in Waunakee, died of colon cancer Friday, March 26, at HospiceCare Inc. in Fitchburg. A memorial service for Mrs. Hurst will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 15, at Gunderson West Funeral Home, 7453 University Ave., Middleton. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 1 p.m. until the service. A time of fellowship will follow at Sprecher’s Restaurant and Pub in Middleton. Memorials to Waunakee Manor or HospiceCare Inc. are suggested.
