Village of Belgium resident James R. Smith, 47, died Sunday, Feb. 14, at his home on Lindale Street after a lengthy illness. Funeral services will be at 7 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 18, at Eernisse Funeral Home in Belgium. The Rev. Jeff Suddendorf and the Rev. Frederick Trost will officiate. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 4 p.m. until the service. Burial will be at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Lake Church. A memorial fund has been established to help the family.
