John A. Gaffney of Cedarburg, a longtime guidance counselor at Port Washington High School, died of lung cancer Saturday, June 30, at VITAS Inpatient Hospice in Wauwatosa. he was 82.

    A memorial service for Mr. Gaffney will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 14, at Eernisse Funeral Home in Port Washington. Father James Ernster will officiate.

    Visitation will be at the funeral home from 10:30 a.m. Saturday until the service.

    Burial will be in St. William’s Cemetery in the Town of Montrose.
