Fredonia Richard D. Berend, 43, died of heart failure Thursday, April 19, at Lovelace Hospital in Albuquerque, N.M.

A private graveside service with military honors will be held in Waubeka at a later date.
A celebration of Mr. Berend’s life will be held from noon to 4 p.m. Sunday, June 3, at the American Legion Hall in Saukville.

Memorials to the family are requested.
