Olaf Nielsen, who lived on Madison Avenue in Port Washington, died Tuesday, Aug. 23, at Heritage Nursing Home in Port. He was 77.

A memorial service for Mr. Nielsen, who was known as Ole, will be held at 5 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 25, at Friedens Evangelical Church in Port Washington. The Rev. David Teller will officiate.

Visitation will be at the church from 4 p.m. Thursday until the service.

In lieu of flowers, memorials to Friedens Church are suggested.

Funeral arrangements are being handled through Eernisse Funeral Home, Port Washington.
