A funeral service for Fredonia resident Barbara J. Laubenstein was to be held at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 25, at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Newburg.

The Rev. Jon Baumann was to officiate at Wednesday’s funeral service.

Visitation was scheduled at the church from 3:30 p.m. until the service.

Interment will be at St. John’s Lutheran Cemetery in Newburg at 1 p.m. Thursday, May 26.

Mrs. Laubenstein, 64, died of amyotrophic lateral sclerosis — also known as Lou Gehrig’s disease — at her home Saturday, May 21.

Memorials to St. John’s Lutheran Church or the ALS Society of Wisconsin are suggested.

Funeral arrangements are being handled through Phillip Funeral Home in West Bend.
