Former Port Washington Ald. Harold Matthews died Monday, Jan. 24, at Heritage Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Port Washington. He was 88.

A visitation for Mr. Matthews will be held from 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 29, at First Congregational Church in Port Washington.

A veterans walk-through will be at 3 p.m.

Masonic and memorial services for Mr. Matthews will be held at 4 p.m. Saturday at the church. The Rev. Jeffrey Suddendorf will officiate.

Military honors will take place immediately after the funeral.

In lieu of flowers, memorials to First Congregational Church are suggested.

Funeral arrangements are being handled through Eernisse Funeral Home, Port Washington.
