Port Washington resident Vernon Brabender, 86, died Saturday, Jan. 8, at Ellen’s Home in Port Washington after battling dementia for several years.

A Mass of Christian burial will be at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 13, at St. Peter of Alcantara Catholic Church in Port Washington. Father Patrick Wendt will officiate.

Visitation will be at the church from 3 p.m. until the Mass.

Burial will be at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Random Lake.

Arrangements are being handled by Eernisse Funeral Home, Port Washington.
