Port Washington native James L. Barnes, 60, of Syracuse, Ind., died after a brief battle with leukemia in Fort Wayne, Ind., on Saturday, Sept. 4. A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Sept. 10, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Port Washington. Visitation will be at the church from noon until the Mass. Arrangements are being handled by Eernisse Funeral Home, Port Washington.
