William J. ‘Big Bill’ Brandt

William J. “Big Bill” Brandt of Jackson, formerly of Cedarburg, went to his eternal heavenly home on Tuesday, Dec. 31, 2019.  He was 77 years old.

Bill was born on May 4, 1942, in Cedarburg to Walter and Rose (Flok) Brandt.  

He graduated from Cedarburg High School in 1960.  

Bill was united in marriage to Diane Mae (Prochnow) on June 8, 1963, at David’s Star Evangelical Lutheran Church in Jackson. Bill was a long time member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Cedarburg.  

He took pride in being a cement finisher and belonging to the Wisconsin Laborer’s Union Local 558.  

Bill enjoyed spending his free time at the lake with his wife Diane and his family and friends, which gave him so much joy in his life.

Bill is survived by his wife Diane of Jackson; daughter Lisa (Rob) Teske of Oshkosh; brothers Irv (Arlene) Brandt and Ray (Kathy) Brandt of Cedarburg; sister-in-law Katie Brandt of Algoma, Wis.; nieces; nephews; other relatives; and many friends. 

Bill was preceded in death by his parents, daughter Brenda, sister Rosalyn, brothers Howard, Walter and Rodger and his special uncle Arnold Brandt.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, Jan. 8, 2020, at 6 p.m. at Immanuel Lutheran Church, W61 N498 Washington Ave., Cedarburg, Wis. The Rev. Vicki Simon will officiate.   

Visitation will be at the church from 3 to 5:45 p.m.
