Weather can’t dampen Easter spirits in Saukville

There was nothing spring-like about the icy-cold rain and gusting wind on Saturday, March 31, but Saukville’s Easter egg hunt was never in danger. The host of this year’s event, River of Life Lutheran Church, moved the hunt inside where children roamed the church picking up eggs and families worked on Easter projects while enjoying treats. Among those partaking in the festivities was Charlotte Chapman (top right photo), whose brother Gracen helped her collect eggs. While waiting for her turn to hunt for eggs, 4-year-old Scarlett Melichar worked on a project with her grandmother Connie Kison (lower right photo). A 2-year-old named Cooper was all business as he searched for eggs (left photo).   Photos by Bill Schanen IV
