A Town of Saukville man has been charged with possession of child pornography after investigators allegedly found dozens of images of scantily clad children on his home computer.

Michael F. Drzewiecki, 51, has been charged with one count of possession of child pornography.

According to a criminal complaint filed in Ozaukee County Circuit Court:

On July 3, the Ozaukee County Sheriff’s Office received a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children that on April 17 two images of child pornography had been shared with a computer located on Highway O in the Town of Saukville. The images were of female children younger than 16 seductively posed, and one of them with her sexual organs exposed.

On July 30, a detective, deputies and two forensic analysts from the state Department of Justice executed a search warrant at the house. When they showed Drzewiecki, the homeowner, the images, he said he may have viewed such images in the past.

Drzewiecki showed investigators a computer that had the images on it. On the computer they discovered a folder labeled “PTHC,” an acronym for “pre-teen hard core.” They found 54 images of what appeared to be girls younger than 16 in states of undress, plus 13 videos of children ages 6 to 9, at least one of which involved a sex act with an older male.

If convicted of the Class D felony, Drzewiecki would be sentenced to a minimum of three years initial confinement and up to 25 years in prison and could be fined up to $100,000. A surcharge of $500 per pornographic image also could be imposed.

A status hearing on the case is scheduled for Thursday, Aug. 23.
