Thomas Proefrock

Thomas Proefrock of Grafton passed away peacefully on Friday, Nov. 15, 2019, at home surrounded by his family at the age of 57 years.

Tom was born in Port Washington on June 11, 1962, to Eugene “Gene” and the late Beverly (nee Hilgart) Proefrock.

Tom enjoyed watching all sports. His favorite teams were the Packers, Badgers and Brewers. He enjoyed taping all the NFL football games on Sunday and re-watching them all during the week and starting over again the next week. He also ran his own football pool for many years.

Tom enjoyed playing cards, sheepshead and cribbage and playing board games with the nieces and nephews especially Monopoly and garbage.

He loved to go to the family cabin in Carter and to Pickerel Lake to visit other family members.

He went to Las Vegas to watch the Badgers play and enjoyed going to the casino playing blackjack and craps. He had an annual Texas Tournament held at the house and a Thursday night poker game.

He was an avid reader of history books and Stephen King novels.

 In the summer, he loved to be outside and enjoy the warm weather.

He was always looking forward to his birthday bash weekend with all of this cousins and friends at the family cabin.

Tom is survived by his father Gene, brothers Jim and  Richard (Marlo) and his sister Judy (Michael) Mueller.  

He is further survived by nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his mother Beverly and brother Michael.

Mass of Christian burial was held at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 19, 2019, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 1619 Washington St., Grafton.  

Interment was at St. Joseph Cemetery.  

Visitation was at the church on Tuesday from 3 to 5:45 p.m.
