Students and alumni bid farewell to Grafton Elementary

Grafton Elementary School had a final farewell open house on Monday, June 4, before the school is razed this summer as part of the district’s $39.9 million facilities project. From top photo: Before it was an elementary school, the building was home to Grafton High School and alumni (from left) Sharon Anderson, Nancy Hundt, Jan Doerr, LuAnn Boie, Jill Bertram and Paul Reblin decided to take one last look at their alma mater. Crystal and Kellan Stern looked at silent auction items, which included school signs. Students (from left) Emerson Brady, Maria Javoroski, Reed Schaefer, Andrew Belgioro, Josiah Gonzales, Will Riley, Abby Barth and Sierra Javoroski served treats during the event.
