Sheriff’s Office encourages criminal justice careers with scholarship program

The Ozaukee County Sheriff’s Office is presenting four scholarships funded through 5 Corners Dodge-Chrysler-Jeep to individuals interested in pursuing a career in criminal justice. 

Qualified applicants must pursue undergraduate degrees to prepare for a career in law enforcement. 

Each scholarships will be awarded for $1,000.

Applicants must be Ozaukee County residents, a 2020 high school graduate with a career grade-point average of at least 2.5 and have had no negative law enforcement on contacts other than a minor traffic violation.

Applicants should submit their high school transcripts and an essay on why they want to pursue a career in law enforcement, as well as a completed and signed application. They also must include a letter of recommendation from a teacher, member of the clergy, a civic organization or law enforcement.

The deadline for submitting applictions is Tuesday, Aug. 4.
