School district modernizes learning space

Cedar Grove-Belgium High School students Jonah Heisler (left) and Alex Lombness work in business education teacher Landa Paradise’s redesigned classroom. Instead of crowding around one laptop, monitors on the walls at pods of tables allow students to work in small groups while viewing the same screen, which also can be used by Paradise (above). Student Jaiden Schueller said she has used the setup to design pages on the school’s yearbook. “The new equipment is already being greatly utilized,” she said. A grant from the Bruce Krier Charitable Foundation helped pay for the technological upgrades. The School Board toured the classrooms during the redesign process in summer. Photo by Sam Arendt
