Rounding up adds up

This summer, patrons of Wayne’s Drive-In in the Town of Cedarburg have been asked to round up their bill and contribute the change to Mel’s Charities. Fifty-seven percent of diners agreed, and last week the restaurant contributed the $8,978 they donated to Mel’s Charities. Ross Rintelman, a Mel’s Charities board member and ambassador, (seating in center) held up the check while employees at Wayne’s looked on. They included (front row, from left) Angie Schreiber, Kaley Gelinskey, restaurant manager Mary Champeny, Les Feiler, Colin Davis, (second row) Paiton Richter, Rhaea Morgan, Rachel Gosselin, Abby Salvaggio, Evan Janecek, Mel’s founder Tom “Mel” Stanton, (back row) general manager Steve Michalica, Jennifer Gelinskey, Ryan Commons, Nathan Conlon and Sam Kluck.                                     Photo by Sam Arendt
