Port State Bank receives Top Workplace recognition for seventh consecutive year

Port Washington State Bank has been named a “Top Workplace” for the seventh consecutive year.

“We are very honored to again receive this recognition,” said Steve Schowalter, chairman, president, and CEO of the bank.  “It’s rewarding to know that we are continuing to provide employment locally here in Ozaukee County at a very high level in terms of employee engagement and satisfaction.”

Candidates for the Top Workplace listing are nominated by employees, and employees are also surveyed by an independent third party in the areas of benefits, pay, workplace culture, leadership, direction, and community and employee engagement.

In 2018, 150 businesses received a Top Workplace designation in the listing, compiled by the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.
