PHOTO OP-ED: A day at the beach during a break in the weather

A winter that has brought snow, cold and gales that have punished the Lake Michigan shoreline on Sunday provided a brief and welcome respite in the form of calm winds, sunshine and 50-degree temperatures — conditions that made Port Washington’s south beach a popular spot for fat-tire bike riders and walkers eager to get outside.                                   Photos by Sam Arendt
