Ozaukee High School’s Noah Miller has had an impressive season, helping lead the Warriors to the state tournament for the first time in school history.

The sophomore gobbles up balls at shortstop and pitches.

He doesn’t have to look far for advice. His older brother Owen, 22, plays shortstop for the Amarillo Sod Poodles, the San Diego Padres’ double-A affiliate, and leads the Texas League in hits this season with 71.

He’s hitting .293 with six home runs, 33 RBI and 19 walks in 242 at-bats.

“He’s awesome. He teaches me things, tells me if there’s something new going on, helps me with fixes,” Noah said.

Their cousin Matt Miller also is a starter with the Warriors.

Coach Steve Kowalkowski said most people in the Fredonia community know Owen. He attends his relatives’ games when he’s home.

“He’s a great kid to have around and a great role model,” Kowalkowski said.
