Parkside Community UCC in Saukville will host a presentation on human trafficking at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 30, at the church, 166 W. Dekora St.

This event is free and open to the public.

The presenter will be Krista Hull, a chaplain, founder and executive director of Redeem and Restore, an organization formed to build awareness, provide outreach services and care for the victims of sex trafficking.

In 2016, the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children estimated that 1 in 6 endangered runaways reported to them were likely sex trafficking victims. Globally, the International Labor Organization estimates that there are 4.5 million people trapped in forced sexual exploitation.

The Human Trafficking Hotline reported that in 2017, it received 261 human trafficking-related calls resulting in 91 reported cases.
