Miller helps team to comeback series win

Ozaukee High School alumnus Owen Miller helped the Amarillo Sod Poodles, the San Diego Padres’ double-A affiliate, come back to win its first playoff series.

The Sod Poodles fell behind, two games to zero, in the best-of-five series with the Midland RockHounds but won the next three games.

Miller had at least one hit in each game and had two hits in three games.

He went 8-for-21 (.381), had one RBI and scored two runs in the series.

The Sod Poodles on Tuesday night beat the Tulsa Drillers, the Los Angeles Dodgers’ double-A affiliate, in Game 1 of the Texas League Championship Series, 13-6.
