Master Gardeners talk

An hour with noted plant man Roy Diblik will be held 7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 22, by the Ozaukee Master Gardeners.

The meeting will be held via Zoom.

Diblik, a plant grower, designer, consultant, teacher and speaker, has spent 40 years studying, growing, and enjoying plants.

His passion for natives and perennials began with work at The Natural Garden in St. Charles, Ill., and cultivated through his establishment of the Northwind Perennial Farm in Burlington.

Diblik specializes in highly aesthetic, sustainable plant communities for all seasons while reducing maintenance through careful design. He believes gardens should be thoughtful, ecologically directed, emotionally outreaching and very personal.

Diblik has collaborated with Dutch garden designer Piet Oudolf on projects such as the Lurie Garden in Chicago and is the author of “Small Perennial Gardens: The Know Maintenance Approach.”

Registration for the meeting must be done in advance by visiting uwmadison.zoom.us/meeting/register/tJYoceuhrzgvHNCIkY28JV4SF9J0DlRmr2rX .

A confirmation email containing information about joining the meeting will be sent.
