Main Street work continues at railroad tracks crossing

Storm sewer installation underneath the railroad crossing is continuing this week as part of Belgium’s Main Street reconstruction project.

“They’re making good progress,” Public Works Director Dan Birenbaum said.

Crews completed installation of curbs and gutters at the tracks on Monday.

The traffic pattern has not changed.

“The best thing is to take the detour yet,” Birenbaum said.

The route runs from Highway LL south to Highway A, then to Highway 57  and back to Highway D.
