Main Street work continues

Crews were slated to dig out the road near the railroad crossing Thursday and Friday in Belgium’s Main Street reconstruction project, prepping for curb and gutter installation next week, Public Works Director Dan Birenbaum said.

Blacktop is scheduled to be laid for the week of Oct. 29, he said. Sidewalk is to be installed after that.

Traffic, especially trucks, are urged to take the detour route.

It runs from Highway LL south to Highway A, then to Highway 57 and back to Highway D.
