Lorraine Wegner

Lorraine T. Wegner, 92, died Sunday, June 30, at Village Pointe Commons in Grafton.

She was born in Grafton on May 1, 1927, to Gregory and Gertrude Rausch Barth. She graduated from Grafton High School in 1945.  

On Nov. 30, 1946, she married Walter “Bob” Wegner at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Grafton.  

Mrs. Wegner was a longtime member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, where she served as the school secretary and was a member of the church choir. She volunteered at the school to help students learn to read. 

Mrs. Wegner also worked as a parish secretary at Immaculate Conception Parish in Saukville.

Her family said she enjoyed crocheting items for friends and family. All of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren have a crocheted blanket from her.  

Mrs. Wegner is survived by her children Carol (George) Krueger, Sue (Alan) Melichar and Patti (Lloyd) Sudbrink; daughters-in-law Marie Wegner and Kathy Ford; and brother-in-law Marty (Marlene) Wegner.  

She is further survived by 19 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. 

Mrs. Wegner was preceded in death by her parents, husband, sons Michael and Daniel, granddaughter Kelly and brother Ralph Barth.  

A Mass of Christian burial was held Monday, July 8, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Grafton. 

Interment was at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Grafton.

Memorials to the St. Joseph Catholic Choir Fund are suggested.  

Mueller Funeral Home in Cedarburg handled the arrangements.
