Lions’ $10,000 gift will give kids new way to slide at Stoney Creek Park

The Fredonia Lions Club recently donated $10,000 to the Village of Fredonia for the purchase of a slide at Stoney Creek Park.

Lions Club President Ralph Luedtke presented the check to Village President Don Dohrwardt at the Village Board meeting on Feb. 21.

The slide, called a Viper II, is manufactured by BCI Burke Co. of Fond du Lac. It has an 8-foot-high platform and twin over-under slides.

The slide will be blue and gold to match Ozaukee High School sports team colors, officials said.

It will be installed this summer, Public Works Director Roger Strohm said.
