LETTER: Helping Saukville Food Pantry

To Ozaukee Press:

The Saukville Community Food Pantry would like to thank the businesses that donated to our very successful meat raffle fundraiser on Oct. 27.

More than $2,200 was raised to help fill food pantry shelves for the winter months.

We also want to thank the boys and girls in the Scout troops from Saukville and Fredonia who recently collected over 2.700 lbs of food for the pantry.

This food will go a long way in helping us provide many of the basic needs for those here in Ozaukee County who suffer from food insecurity.

Without the help of these young people and our volunteers and donors, a number of people in our area would need to make difficult decisions about what they might be able to provide for their families.

The Scouts and their parents should be very proud of this demonstration of concern for others.

The Saukville Community Food Pantry is open to all qualifying residents of

Ozaukee County. We have served 435 families through the end of October of this year.
