LETTER: Evers would do more for our schools, roads and resources

To Ozaukee Press:
The refreshing thing about Tony Evers’ run for governor is he has a plan that benefits all Wisconsinites. He believes that building a foundation on “what’s best for our kids is best for our future” will support the workforce, benefit the communities we live in and strengthen all aspects of government.
Evers knows education and supports increased funding for child care, early childhood and K-12 schools and technical and university systems.
Evers will reward people in research and reform student loan programs. He believes that investing in key components of education will help alleviate the costs we face with Wisconsin’s prisons.
Evers knows about our infrastructure and road maintenance issues. He will address the fact that counties and cities have inadequate state aid for road repair by restructuring funding.
Evers plans to return economic development funds to local communities and regional organizations. He believes local government knows the needs of the community best.
Evers has a natural resource management plan to restore the independence of the DNR, keep our water, soil and air safe and protect hunting land and snowmobile, camping and recreation areas.
On Nov. 6, Tony Evers deserves your vote.
