Jim Schinker

Jim Schinker was a well known name in Port Washington. If you think that you have not seen him around for awhile, you would be right.

He was always in the wings and ready to jump in to help someone in need.

He ran the Sportsmans Bar in Port Washington, then moved to Crystal Lake to run Uncle Otto's place. He did a lot of work there: sanding floors, sand blasting walls and rebuilding the bathrooms. He changed the whole look of the place.

Later on he worked as a rural route carrier for the Post Office.

Now he is gone, but certainly not forgotten. God called him home on Feb. 14.  He said, "Jim Schinker, come to me. Your work on earth is done."

He was a great son, a great brother, a great husband and father. He always did what he thought was the right thing to do.

Give him rest, oh Lord. Amen.
