Hippity Hoppity Easter event

The Hippity Hoppity Easter event will be held Saturday, March 24, at Possibility Playground in Port Washington's Upper Lake Park. Live music by guitarist Shana Harvey and other activities be precede the event in in the adjacent park pavilion at 9:30 a.m. The Easter bonnet contest, which is open to people of all ages and their pets, will be held at 10 a.m. There will be five age groups in addition to the pet contest, and prizes will be awarded. The egg hunt, which is intended for children ages 2 to 9, will follow. Youngsters wearing Easter bonnets will be able to go to the front of the line for the egg hunt. The Easter bunny will also be on hand, posing for photos with children, before and after the contest and hunt. Following the contest and hunt, youngsters are invited to bring their Easter baskets to downtown merchants for filling from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Participating merchants will have an egg sign on their doors or windows.
