Grillin’ in Grafton to return this weekend with star-spangled salute

The fun begins Friday at 5 p.m. and lasts until 8 p.m., the party continues Saturday from noon to 8 p.m.

New to this year’s festivities is a Kid Zone, which will feature bouncy houses and a petting zoo, and a Teen Zone with a rockwall, walk-on-water balls, cannonball blaster, gladiator joust, bouncy boxing and IndyCar obstacle course.

The annual Independence Day parade starts at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 30.

The parade route will begin at the tennis courts on 17th Avenue, just north of Highway 60, and head south on 17th avenue to Centennial Park.

Among the participants in the procession will be members of the University of Wisconsin-Madison marching band.

A fireworks show at dusk will cap the celebration.
