Football seniors selected as All-Stars

Four local high school football standouts have been chosen to play in the annual Wisconsin Football Coaches Association All-Star Games on July 20 at the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh’s Titan Stadium.

Port Washington’s Jake Lippe will play wide receiver and Grafton’s Hawk Heffner will play linebacker for the North Large School team.

Cedar Grove-Belgium’s Brett Feind will play offensive line and Ben Anzia will play linebacker for the South Small School Team.

Lippe was named the North Shore Conference Player of the Year and earned all-state honorable mention at wide receiver and defensive back.

Double teamed for much of the season, he caught 34 passes for 535 yards and seven touchdowns. On defense, he had 71 tackles and a fumble recovery.

Heffner made 53 tackles, had three interceptions, one fumble recovery and scored three touchdowns.

Feind made the Big East Conference’s first team and was an all-state honorable mention who helped the Rockets go 8-0 in earning a Big East Conference title.

Anzia had 77 tackles, including 15 for loss, had three sacks and a fumble recovery. He was named to the Big East’s first team.

The Small School game starts at 1:30 p.m. and the Large School game at 5 p.m.
