Flag Day celebration

Flag Day will be celebrated with patriotic activities galore in Waubeka Sunday, June 10. A program will be held at the Americanism Center, 4200 Valley View Dr., Waubeka, at 11:30 p.m. followed by a 1:30 p.m. parade through Waubeka. The University of Wisconsin Badgers Band will perform its fifth quarter act at 2:30 p.m. Free family day activities, including a bounce house, giant slide, pony rides, games, face painting, treasure hunt, visits to the Americanism Center and its Avenue of Flages will be held from 3 to 7 p.m. Food and beverages will be available for purchase. A program will be held at Stony Hill School, the birthplace of Flag Day, at 3:30 p.m. Live music will be held from 5 to 9 p.m. The event will wind down with fireworks at dusk.
