Edward Streff

Edward H. Streff, 89, of the Town of Fredonia died Tuesday, April 2, at Forest Haven assisted living facility in Fredonia, where he had been a resident for the past four years.  

Mr. Streff was born in the Town of Fredonia on Oct. 15, 1929, to Edward and Olive Klas Streff. He attended St. Nicholas School in Dacada and worked on the family farm.  

On Nov. 8, 1950, he married Betty Schaller at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Germantown. The couple settled on the family farm in Fredonia, where Mr. Streff worked his entire life.

His family said he enjoyed fishing and hunting, as well as following the Green Bay Packers and the Milwaukee Brewers.

Mr. Streff is survived by his wife Betty of Fredonia; children Gary (Jean) of Fredonia, Edward of Saukville, Bobby of Mansfield, Ohio, Ronnie of Fredonia, Wayne (Peggy) of Adell, Donna (George) Schoeder of West Bend, John of Glendale, Linda Streff (special friend Janet) of Milwaukee, Roger (Rebecca) of Oostburg, Tom and Pat (Nick), both of Port Washington, Michelle (Mark) Blumenberg of Fredonia and Lisa Streff of Belgium.

He is further survived by 23 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; daughter-in-law Nancy Streff of Fredonia; and sister Betty (John) Paulus of Port Washington.  

Mr. Streff was preceded in death by his son Gerald, grandson Jon Magritz, granddaughter Cheryl Streff, sister Laverne Depies, brother-in-law Oliver Depies and daughter-in-law Bonnie Streff.

There will be no formal services held per Mr. Streff’s wishes.

Eernisse Funeral Home, Port Washington, is handling the arrangements.
